PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, the state’s central hub for financing infrastructure improvements for municipalities, businesses, and homeowners, has closed on a $3,700,000 Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan, with 20% principal forgiveness, to the Town of West Warwick for three critical wastewater treatment system improvement projects: rehabilitation of the East Natick Interceptor, upgrades to the Maisie Quinn Pump Station, and design services for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and ultraviolet disinfection system upgrades.

“Protecting public health and the local environment starts with reliable wastewater collection and treatment systems,”

Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank Executive Director William Fazioli. “This $3.7 million Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan will allow West Warwick to modernize critical, often unseen wastewater infrastructure that residents and businesses rely on every day.”

“These upgrades are vital to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of West Warwick’s wastewater treatment system, and we want to thank the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank for providing the low-cost financing and principal forgiveness necessary to move these projects forward,”
